V70 Error Messages Vehicle Coding

My 2003 Volvo V70 diesel has a persistent error in the error memory, with messages in the infotainment and speedometer. Engine diagnostics seem normal except for the fault codes. Has anyone encountered something similar?

I had a similar experience with my V70. Same symptoms: error messages popping up all over the place. Did you check the vehicle coding using a diagnostic scanner or an OBD-II scan tool? It sounds like the car's computer might be misconfigured. I'm asking because I had the same error codes and the error messages, and it turned out to be a simple software glitch.

When you mention 'vehicle coding,' could you elaborate? Are you referring to a specific module, or is it a more comprehensive recalibration that is required? I have access to some diagnostic equipment, but I want to make sure that I am on the right track before proceeding further. Any additional insight you might offer would be greatly appreciated.

In my case, the issue stemmed from an incorrect coding of the engine control unit (ECU). The workshop confirmed that it was causing all sorts of communication errors across the car's systems. I strongly recommend taking your V70 to a reputable workshop equipped with Volvo-specific diagnostic tools. They should be able to pinpoint the problem quickly and rectify the coding.

Following your advice, I consulted a local workshop. As it turned out, the error was indeed related to the vehicle's coding. The repair, amounting to 360€, resolved the issue entirely. Your suggestion to seek professional diagnostic assistance proved invaluable.
