V70 GPS Antenna Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Volvo V70 is experiencing persistent GPS reception issues, with error codes indicating a potential problem. The likely cause is suspected to be a faulty GPS antenna, a common issue in older models. It is suggested to replace the antenna, as it is more probable than issues with the GPS module itself. A workshop can handle the replacement, with an estimated cost provided for parts and labor.

Good question. It's pretty persistent; happens almost immediately after starting the car. I've checked the connections I could easily get to, but haven't dug deeper yet. Was your issue the antenna as well?

Confirmed. The antenna was the culprit in my case. While you could try troubleshooting the GPS module itself, the antenna is the more likely suspect. Considering the age of the car, I'd recommend having a workshop take a look.

Thanks for the confirmation! I suspected as much. I'll get a new antenna installed. The workshop quoted around 200€ for the parts and labor, which seems reasonable to get my satellite connection back.

I drive a V70 as well. Had similar issues with the sat nav a while back. Is the error persistent, or does it come and go?
