V70 Lean Running Issue

Thanks. I haven't inspected the EGR valve specifically. Can you share more about your experience? Did EGR valve replacement fix it, or were injector replacements needed?

Cleaning the EGR valve temporarily improved things, but the problem soon returned. A mechanic identified the fuel injectors as the cause. Given your lean running, I'd recommend having them professionally inspected.

Thanks, that confirms my suspicions. It was a defective fuel injector, leading to a lean mixture. Injector replacement resolved it at a cost of 515€.

I also have a V70. I had similar symptoms a while back: check engine light and struggling to accelerate. Did you check the EGR valve? A faulty EGR valve can sometimes cause lean running.
