V70 Stalling at Idle

Hey, I'm kinda freaking out. My 2005 Volvo V70 diesel is throwing some seriously weird codes. The check engine light is on, and it keeps stalling when I'm idling, which is super dangerous at junctions! I scanned it, and it's saying something about incorrect fuel composition, which I don't understand, I always fill it up at the same gas station. Has anyone had this happen before? Mileage is at 146293 km. I'm hoping it's not the fuel pump, those things are expensive!

Summary of the thread

A 2005 Volvo V70 diesel was experiencing stalling at idle and displaying a check engine light with a code indicating incorrect fuel composition. The issue was identified as a defective plug connection to the fuel composition sensor, located near the fuel filter. After addressing the faulty connection, the problem was resolved, allowing the vehicle to operate normally again.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

I had a similar issue with my V70. Did you check the cable and plug connections to the fuel composition sensor? That was the problem for me.

Fuel composition sensor? Where is that located? And what exactly was wrong with the connection?

It's near the fuel filter, but without proper tools, it's hard to reach. I suggest visiting a workshop. They can diagnose it properly.

Thanks! I took it to my mechanic, and you were spot on! It was a defective plug connection. 95€ and I'm back on the road!
