V90 AC failure

I'm experiencing a weird issue with my 2021 Volvo V90 hybrid. My A/C system suddenly stopped working. It doesn't switch on at all, and obviously, no cooling. I scanned for errors and found a stored code related to the A/C compressor. I'm suspecting undervoltage, but I'm not sure where to start looking. Has anyone else encountered this? I checked the AC relay, and it seems fine. Could it be a refrigerant leak even though there are no obvious signs?

A 2021 Volvo V90 hybrid experienced an A/C system failure, with the system not switching on and an error code related to the A/C compressor. The initial suspicion was undervoltage, but the A/C relay was checked and seemed fine. A suggestion was made to replace the A/C compressor relay, which resolved the issue when done by a workshop. The A/C system is now functioning properly after the relay replacement.

I had something similar happen with my V90. A/C just quit. No cold air. Check the AC compressor relay; might be worth swapping it out just to test. It's a cheap fix if it works.

Thanks for the tip! Was it the exact same symptoms? Air conditioning system does not switch on at all? And did you also have an error code stored? Where is the AC compressor relay located exactly? I want to make sure I am checking the right one.

Yeah, same symptoms. A/C dead, error code present. Honestly, I didn't bother locating the relay myself. I just took it to a workshop. They sorted it out quickly. Best to get it checked properly, you know?

Thanks! I appreciate the advice. I took it to my local shop, and you were right, it was indeed the relay! They replaced it for 240€, and the A/C is working perfectly again. I'll keep an eye on it, but hopefully, that's the end of it.
