V90 Active Hood Fault Airbag Warning
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Volvo V90 hybrid displayed an "Active hood fault" message and an airbag warning, with diagnostic scans indicating triggered spring actuators. The issue was linked to the impact sensor or pedestrian safety system. A similar case was resolved by replacing a defective acceleration sensor, which was confirmed as the cause in this instance as well.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Yes, the error reappears almost immediately. Did you figure out what caused the fault in your V90, and what diagnostic steps did you take?

Yeah, the error recurring right away is exactly what I experienced. I ended up taking mine to the workshop. Turned out to be the acceleration sensor. Best to get it checked out professionally.

I consulted my mechanic, and the issue was traced back to a defective acceleration sensor. The replacement, including labor, amounted to 315€. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

I had a similar problem with my V90. Does the error come back immediately after you clear it?
