Yeah, I gave the switch a visual once-over; it seems seated correctly, nothing obviously broken. How long ago did this happen to you, and what did it end up being? I'm trying to avoid an expensive trip to the shop if it's something simple!

It was a while back, maybe six months ago? Honestly, I poked around a bit like you, then just bit the bullet and took it in. Turned out to be the switch itself, as the error memory stated. If you are still under warranty, I would go to the shop to get a replacement, as this is a vehicle safety component.

You were spot on. It was indeed the brake light switch. After your comments, I went ahead and had it replaced. The workshop confirmed that I must've triggered something while cleaning the interior with my feet. They reset the error code and the car is running like a charme. Fortunately they didn't charge anything, so the final repair cost was 0€ Thanks for the advice!

Interesting. I had something similar happen with my V90. Brake lights acting up, warning messages... the whole shebang. Did you try checking the physical switch itself? Is it loose or anything?
