Thanks, that's helpful. When you say "car electronics", are you referring to a specific module or system? And did your Opel have a similar engine?

Yes, I was referring to the Engine Control Unit and the body control module. It's a complex system, so issues can be tricky to diagnose. My Insignia had a petrol engine, not a hybrid. Given the symptoms and the potential complexity of a hybrid system, I'd strongly recommend taking your V90 to a reputable workshop for a thorough diagnosis. They'll have the necessary tools and expertise to pinpoint the problem.

Appreciate the input. It turned out to be a defective fuse, which was replaced for 52€.

I experienced something similar with my 2014 Opel Insignia, although the symptoms were not 100% the same. I was baffled, but in my case it was related to car electronics that were causing the ignition to behave erratically. Could you check the ignition coil, ignition key or other car electronics components related to the starting issue? I know it's a long shot, but it might be worth investigating. Does it happen more when the engine is hot or cold?
