Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, I had the codes read. It was something about a faulty signal from the transmission control unit. Is there a chance it could be something else, like a software glitch perhaps? Or is it almost certainly a defective control unit?

While a software glitch is possible, the symptoms combined with the specific error code strongly suggest a defective control unit. Unfortunately, these units are known to fail sometimes. Based on your description, I'd say it's almost certainly the control unit. Prepare for around 1000€ repair costs at your local workshop.

Thanks a lot for your help! I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on - it was indeed the transmission control unit. Replaced it, and everything is running smoothly again. Appreciate the insight!

Sounds like it could well be the transmission control unit. The symptoms you describe - unresponsive paddles, slipping, grinding, emergency mode and a logged error - all point in that direction. Have you had the error codes read? What codes were stored?
