V90 Heat Exchanger Temperature Sensor Fault

My 2022 Volvo V90 hybrid has been throwing some errors with 84164 km on the clock. The error memory stores a fault related to the temperature sensor in the heat exchanger. I also get an error message on the speedometer, and the AC won't turn on. I suspect it's the AC control unit, but I'm not sure.

Sounds like a sensor malfunction. Is the engine coolant level OK? A coolant leak can trigger those symptoms. Have you tried running a sensor calibration via OBD?

Coolant level seems fine. I haven't tried sensor calibration through OBD. Where exactly would I access that function?

If coolant is good, and you can't access calibration, I'd point to a defective heat exchanger. It's quite common, especially with the HVAC system acting up too. Book it into a workshop.

Thanks for the input. Turns out you were spot on. Workshop confirmed the temperature sensor in the heat exchanger was defective. Total cost was 980€ to replace it.
