V90 multifunction steering wheel failure
Summary of the thread
The multifunction steering wheel on a 2016 Volvo V90 stopped working suddenly at 224,700 km. Diagnostics suggested a cable connection issue inside the steering wheel. A similar problem was resolved in another vehicle by addressing a bad connection. The Volvo was taken to a mechanic, who confirmed the defective cable connection, and the issue was fixed for 95€.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

It was sudden, no warning. Looking for possible causes and solutions. Were you able to fix your Opel Insignia, and if so, how?

Yeah, I got it sorted. Turned out to be a bad connection inside the steering wheel. Since yours was sudden, I'd suggest a good workshop check. They told me my sensor wasn't connected right.

Thanks for the advice. Took it to a Volvo mechanic, and they confirmed a defective cable connection in the steering wheel, like we thought. Repair was 95€ for parts and labor. Thanks again, that was helpful.

Sorry to hear that! I had something similar happen with my 2012 Opel Insignia. Steering wheel controls just quit. Did it happen suddenly or get worse over time?
