V90 Power Window Failure
Summary of the thread
After replacing the battery in a 2016 Volvo V90, the power windows stopped functioning, and an error about window regulator initialization failure appeared. This issue may occur due to the need for reprogramming the window regulator module after a power interruption. A suggested solution is to take the vehicle to a workshop for reprogramming, as the standard window reset procedure may not resolve the problem.

Yeah, I tried that, no luck. I've tried the procedure on all the windows, multiple times. Still getting the error and none of the windows respond at all. I'm not sure what else to try. What did you end up doing to fix yours?

Sounds like you've got the same issue I had. Unfortunately, the window reset procedure didn't work for me either. The dealer told me that sometimes the window regulator module needs to be reprogrammed after a power interruption like a battery change. I ended up having to take it to a workshop to get it sorted.

Thanks for the info, that's what I was afraid of. I'll take it to a shop then. Just got a quote for 290€ which is a bit annoying for a battery change, but at least it's sorted. Appreciate the help!

I've had something similar happen with my V90. Did you try the window reset procedure? Usually, you hold the window button down for a few seconds after it's fully down, then hold it up for a few seconds after it's fully up. Does that do anything?
