V90 Preheating Lamp Issue

Having trouble with my 2021 Volvo V90 diesel. It's got about 25k km on it. Lately, the preheating lamp on the dashboard just won't switch off, and I scanned it and there's an error stored in the memory. I'm thinking it might be a glow plug issue? Anyone else experienced something similar? Really hoping it's not a sign of something worse, because the engine feels a bit rough at idle and I'm worried about combustion. The check engine light hasn't come on yet, but I'm keeping an eye on it. Any ideas?

I had a similar problem with my V90. Is it struggling to start? Could be a defective glow plug. Get it checked.

Thanks! When you say 'similar problem', do you mean the preheating lamp staying on and an error code? And if it was the glow plug, did you notice any other symptoms, like rough idle or anything?

Yep, preheating lamp staying on, exactly. And yeah, rough idle too. I'd get it to a workshop; they'll diagnose it properly.

Thanks a bunch! I appreciate the help. Took it to the workshop and you were spot on – glow plug was defective. Cost me around 440€ to get it sorted. Runs like a charm now!
