For me, it was just road grime caked on the front sensor after a long drive. I'd still recommend a workshop visit; they cleared the error memory after I cleaned it. Cost me 45€.

I had something similar on my V90. Adaptive cruise control went haywire, and the collision avoidance system threw a fit. Did you check if the sensor itself is physically obstructed or dirty? That was my problem.
