Chip tuning, huh? Interesting thought. I did have a third-party remap done a while back to improve fuel economy. Could that really be the reason for the fault code and reduced power now? What kind of symptoms did you experience?

Yup, that's it! Guarantee that's your trouble. Same thing happened to me. Cheap remap = big problems later. I’d say get it checked at the shop; those ECUs don't fix themselves. They should use a scan tool to pinpoint the problem.

Thanks for confirming that! I took it to a workshop, and after some diagnostics, it turned out to be exactly what you said – faulty chip tuning. They reverted the remap, and now it's running smoothly again. Repair cost was 180€. Cheers for the help!

Yo! I had something almost identical on my V90. Was your ride ever near a chip tuning joint? Sounds like some backyard aftermarket mod might be the culprit. I'd put money on that it's the issue. Any luck tracing it?
