I've got a 2023 Volvo V90 diesel with about 155k km on the clock. Recently, I've been getting reduced engine power warnings and a fault code stored in the error memory. I ran an auto scanner and it flagged something, but I haven't had time to deep dive. Anyone experienced similar with a fault code on their V90?

Yup, that's it! Guarantee that's your trouble. Same thing happened to me. Cheap remap = big problems later. I’d say get it checked at the shop; those ECUs don't fix themselves. They should use a scan tool to pinpoint the problem.
