V90 Remote Locking Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Volvo V90 is experiencing intermittent remote locking/unlocking issues and requires the key in the ignition to start, disabling the keyless start feature. The problem is suspected to be related to a faulty bumper antenna or a defective cable or plug connection. A similar issue was resolved by addressing a faulty connection to the antenna, suggesting that checking and repairing the wiring might be a viable solution before considering a full replacement.

Thanks for the reply! It's not completely dead, but very finicky. Sometimes it works if I'm close to the car, other times not at all. And now needing the key in the ignition is a new development. Did you manage to fix it yourself, or did you have to get it professionally sorted?

Mine progressed to the point where it was completely unreliable. Honestly, I didn't try fixing it myself. With all the electronics involved these days, I just took it to the workshop. They identified a faulty connection to the antenna.

Appreciate the confirmation! Sounds like I'm on the right track suspecting the antenna connection. I'll take it to my local garage and have them check the wiring before replacing the whole thing. Thanks for sharing your experience!

I had something similar happen with my V90. Remote functions were acting up, and I recall seeing an antenna-related error at some point. Was yours completely dead, or just finicky?
