V90 Sunroof Not Initialized Error
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Volvo V90 diesel is experiencing a "sunroof not initialized" error, causing the sunroof and sunblind to malfunction. The issue arose after recent coding changes to the car's electronics, possibly affecting the sunroof calibration. The recommended solution is to have the sunroof system recalibrated at a workshop familiar with Volvos, which successfully resolved the problem.

Hmm, that's interesting. Yeah, I think they were messing with some of the lighting settings and maybe the driver assist features. Do you think that could really mess up the sunroof calibration?

Absolutely. In my case, the coding definitely screwed things up. Best bet is to get it checked at a workshop that knows their Volvos. They'll probably need to recalibrate the sunroof system.

Thanks for the heads-up! Turns out you were right. Took it to the shop, and they recalibrated the sunroof. Coding had indeed messed it up. Cost me 75€, but at least it's fixed now!

Sounds familiar! I had a similar problem on my old Audi A6. The sunroof went haywire after a software modification. Did the coding involve anything related to the car's electronics or comfort features?
