V90 Tailgate Hall Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Volvo V90 owner is experiencing an issue with the tailgate hall sensor, where the tailgate doesn't open completely and an error is stored. The problem might be related to a cable or plug connection, as indicated by an unusual sound from the tailgate motor. Another V90 owner had a similar issue and resolved it by taking the car to a workshop, suggesting that professional diagnosis and repair might be the best solution.

Yes, I did notice an unusual sound from the tailgate motor when it only opens partially. Could you tell me more about your issue and how it was resolved?

Yep, that's it! It's probably the same thing. Honestly, I messed with it a little, but I ended up just taking it to a workshop. They sorted it out pretty quick. Saved me a headache.

Thanks for confirming it might be a common issue. I'll take it to a workshop for diagnosis and repair. They quoted 95€, which seems reasonable. Thanks again!

Oh, that sounds familiar! I've got a V90 too, and I had something similar happen with my tailgate. Was it making a weird noise, like struggling to open?
