Vanette diesel injection error

I'm getting a 'reset quantity drift compensation' error on my 2000 Nissan Vanette diesel with 127313 km. Engine runs rough, check engine light is on, and there's an error stored. Could it be a bad injection valve or injector? I want to try a compensation adjustment or system reset. Is it risky to change things without checking the airflow or other sensors first?

That sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my Opel Corsa a few years back. The error message wasn't exactly the same, but the symptoms – rough running and the check engine light – were identical. It was a fuel injection system problem for me. Have you tried a basic reset procedure yet?

Thanks for the response. Could you explain the reset procedure you tried? I'm wondering if it involved specific tools or diagnostic equipment. Were there any other issues during the process?

The reset didn't solve it permanently; the error came back quickly. I didn't have the right tools to diagnose it myself, so a workshop found a faulty injector. I'd recommend a workshop visit because a bad injection valve can cause major damage.

I appreciate the detailed explanation and advice. I'll book an appointment with a mechanic to diagnose the injection system based on your experience. The repair eventually cost me 515€. Thanks again for your help.
