Vanette Electrical Malfunction

Hi, I have a 2009 Nissan Vanette diesel with about 105k km on it. Recently, the electrics have been acting up. I'm getting an error stored in the error memory, and there's a general electrical malfunction. Also, the navigation system isn't working at all. Any ideas?

Sounds like a software glitch. When the error light appears is it a flashing or solid light? The stored error and electrical issues, coupled with the nav system failure, do point to a potential control unit problem. Has the battery been disconnected recently? Sometimes that can trigger weird errors.

The error light is solid, not flashing. The battery hasn't been disconnected recently, no. Could it really be a software thing? Is a software reset something I can do myself?

A solid error light does suggest a more persistent issue. While some basic resets are possible, given the symptoms and the error memory, it's likely the programming of the control unit is implausible. Doing a reset without the right tools could cause more issues. I would recommend getting it checked by a workshop to have the software properly diagnosed and potentially refreshed.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a workshop, and they confirmed it was a software malfunction. They reprogrammed the control unit, and everything seems to be working fine now. Cost me 240€ appreciate the help!
