Vauxhall Adam auxiliary heater issue

Hi, my 2015 Vauxhall Adam with a gasoline engine has an auxiliary heater problem. The parking heater cannot be activated, and there's an error stored in the error memory. Any ideas?

Hey, I had a similar issue with my Adam. Was it perhaps the glow plug? That caused problems with my heat control, and the symptoms sound pretty similar.

Glow plug, huh? How did you figure that out? What exactly was happening with your car?

Yep, the glow plug. The ventilation system wouldn't work properly, and the heat was intermittent. I spent ages trying to sort it out myself. In the end, I had to take it to the workshop. They diagnosed it pretty quickly, and I'm afraid the repair cost was 440€. Just a heads-up, as it does sound familiar!

Thanks for the info! Turns out it was indeed the glow plug. Repair cost me about the same. Appreciate the help.
