Vauxhall Adam bumper antenna malfunction
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Vauxhall Adam is experiencing issues with the bumper antenna, leading to problems with the unlocking/locking system and requiring the key in the ignition to start the engine. The cable and plug connection were indicated as the likely cause. Could you elaborate on what you mean by checking the antenna connection?

Yeah, sure thing. Basically, I just popped off the plastic cover where the antenna wire plugs into the base on the bumper. Wiggled the connection, unplugged it, plugged it back in, made sure it was snug. Didn't fix it for me, sadly. Ended up having to take it to a workshop. Sounds like you're headed that way too, unfortunately.

Thanks for the info. Indeed, it was a defective cable; cost 95€ to resolve with antenna replacement.

Oh, that sounds like a headache! I had something kinda similar happen with my Adam. The car radio was acting up, and the range on my key fob was TERRIBLE. I thought I was going crazy! Did you check the antenna connection itself? Maybe it's just loose?
