Vauxhall Adam Gear Selection Failure

Anyone seen this before? My 2017 Vauxhall Adam (gasoline engine) with 104043 km on the clock is throwing a fit. The gear selection display is dead, and I can't shift gears. Error code's stored. Control unit, maybe?

Vauxhall Adam owner here. Sounds familiar! Does it feel like it's slipping, or making a racket when you try to shift? Mine was doing that and showing weird behaviour. Is the gearbox shifting uncleanly too?

Yeah, it feels like it's slipping. And it is shifting uncleanly. Grinding noises too. What was it in your case?

Okay, definitely sounds like the same issue. I had a defective control unit. Do you really want to mess with this yourself? Because those symptoms are a tell-tale sign. Save yourself the headache and get it to a workshop, it will be way cheaper in the long run.
