Vauxhall Adam intake air temperature sensor issue

I have a Vauxhall Adam and had a similar problem not too long ago. The rough running and engine light sound familiar. Was the error code specifically pointing to the intake air temperature sensor, or was it more generic? Any changes in fuel consumption?

The code was pretty specific, pointing directly to the intake air temperature sensor. Fuel consumption seems normal. What was the fix for your Adam when you had this issue? Just replacing the sensor?

Yes, the error code was also very specific in my case. I tried cleaning the sensor first, but that didn't resolve the issue. I had to replace the intake air temperature sensor. Considering the symptoms and the diagnostic code, I'd recommend a visit to a workshop to get it checked out properly. A faulty IAT sensor can definitely cause those problems.

Replaced the intake air temperature sensor, and that seems to have sorted it. Cost me about 155€. The check engine light is gone, and the engine is running smoothly again.
