Vauxhall Adam oil level sensor fault

I've got a 2016 Vauxhall Adam with a gasoline engine and I'm running into a weird issue. The dashboard is showing an error message, and the error memory has stored a fault related to the oil level sensor—basically, a 'oil level sensor signal faulty' type of thing. Along with that, the speedometer displays a warning light, and occasionally the oil pressure warning lamp lights up too. I've checked the cable and plug connections, but they seem fine. Mileage is at 104874 km. Any thoughts?

I had a similar issue with my Adam. If I remember correctly, the error message was the same, the car was signaling that the oil level sensor was faulty, and the oil pressure light would come on intermittently. It turned out to be a defective cable!

Oh really? So, just to be clear, you had the exact same symptoms? The error message and the oil pressure light specifically?

Yes, that's absolutely correct. Same symptoms, same error messages. Based on my experience, I would suggest getting it checked at a workshop. These things can be tricky.

Okay, I appreciate the advice. I'll take it to a shop then. Turns out you were right. It was the cable, and it cost me 95€ to get it repaired. Thanks again!
