Vauxhall Vectra engine stalling

Hey, I'm having trouble with my 2005 Vauxhall Vectra diesel. The check engine light is on, and it sometimes stalls at idle. It's only done about 30839 km. Could this be a dodgy tank ventilation valve? I've heard clogged hoses can cause these issues and trigger the pressure sensor.

I had similar issues with my Vectra. The check engine light came on now and then, and the engine stalled sometimes when I stopped. It could be the tank ventilation system. A bad valve or blocked hoses can mess with the pressure in the fuel tank, which the engine management system notices, hence the light.

Thanks! Any more details on how you fixed it? Did you swap out the ventilation valve, or just clean the hoses? Any info would be great.

My hoses were clogged. I cleared them for a bit, but the problem came back. I ended up replacing the ventilation valve and the hoses. I'd suggest getting it checked by someone who knows their stuff. These systems are sensitive, so best not to make it worse.

Cheers for the advice. I took it to a local garage, and they said the tank ventilation valve was playing up because of blocked hoses. They replaced the valve and cleaned the hoses for 175€. The engine's running fine now, and the check engine light is off. Thanks again for your help!
