Vectra Airbag Warning Light
Summary of the thread
A 2004 Vauxhall Vectra owner reported an airbag warning light issue, suspecting a defective cable or plug connection. Another individual with a similar experience suggested checking the crash sensors and wiring harness. The sensors are typically located behind the front bumper and within the passenger compartment. Due to the airbag system's sensitivity, consulting a qualified technician is recommended. The issue was resolved at a workshop, identifying a faulty connector as the cause.

Thanks for the advice. Where are the crash sensors located, and is it easy to check the plug connections myself?

The crash sensors are generally situated behind the front bumper and within the passenger compartment. While visual inspection of the plug connections is feasible, I would strongly advise exercising caution. Given the sensitive nature of the airbag system, it might be judicious to consult a qualified technician to preclude any inadvertent deployment or further complications. My issue was similar and I ended up in a workshop.

Thanks for your help! I took it to a workshop and it turned out to be a faulty connector. Repair cost 95€.

Greetings. I experienced a comparable issue with my Vauxhall Vectra. It manifested as an intermittent illumination of the SRS light. Have you attempted to inspect the crash sensors, specifically the plug connections? It would be prudent to verify the integrity of the wiring harness as well.
