Vectra Audio System Failure

Thanks! How do I check the speaker connections and speakers themselves? Can I do it myself, or do I need special tools?

Checking the speaker connections means inspecting the wiring behind the head unit and at the speakers for loose connections or damage. For the speakers, look for wear or damage on the speaker cone. The bass speaker is most likely. It may require dismantling parts of the interior. If you're not comfortable, take it to a workshop.

Appreciate the advice. I took it to a local mechanic, and as you suggested, the bass speaker was defective. Cost me 280€ to get it repaired. Thanks again!

I also own a Vectra, and I remember a similar audio problem. Check the car speakers first. The bass speakers often fail, leading to complete audio loss. Have you verified the speaker connections and the speakers themselves? Does the volume control have any effect?
