Vectra Brake Booster Sensor Failure

Has anyone experienced brake booster pressure sensor failure on a 2004 Vauxhall Vectra gasoline? Error message on the speedometer and reduced braking. Error code points to the sensor. Suspect improper brake bleeding. Mileage is 156809 km.

I have a Vectra and had something similar. The diminished braking is unsettling. Did the ABS light come on? Mine was intermittent, then constant. How's the brake pedal feel? Mine was unusually firm before the error became persistent.

The brake pedal is quite firm, yes. The ABS light hasn't come on. Given your experience, how did you resolve the issue? Any insights would help.

The firm pedal is a key indicator. I tried DIY fixes, but it needed professional help. If your ABS light isn't on, it's a bit different, but the brake booster sensor is still suspect. I'd advise a visit to a workshop to diagnose it properly. Better safe than sorry with brakes.

I took it to a technician based on your recommendation. They confirmed the brake booster pressure sensor failure, due to improper bleeding during previous maintenance. Sensor replacement and bleeding cost 90€. Braking is back to normal. Your insights helped a lot. Thanks.
