Vectra Brake Pedal Feedback
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Vauxhall Vectra owner experienced unusual feedback from the brake pedal, described as the pedal "fighting back." Initial checks on brake fluid showed no issues, leading to speculation about potential problems with brake pads or calipers. Another individual suggested checking the car's voltage, as undervoltage can affect the ABS system, causing pulsating brakes. Upon investigation by a mechanic, the problem was indeed due to undervoltage, which was resolved, restoring normal brake function.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Undervoltage, you say? That's an interesting angle! I hadn't considered that at all. How did you figure out it was the voltage? And what kind of symptoms were you experiencing besides the pulsating? Was it constant, or just at certain speeds or braking pressures?

The pulsating was pretty consistent, especially at lower speeds. I initially thought it was warped rotors, but the mechanic pointed out the voltage issue. Seems the ABS module is quite sensitive. I would recommend you take your car to a workshop.

Thanks a bunch for the tip about the voltage! I took it to a mechanic, and you were spot on. Turns out, undervoltage was causing all sorts of weirdness with the braking system. Cost me about 240€ to get sorted, but now the brakes feel perfect again. You saved me a ton of time and stress!

I had something similar happen with my Vectra (although not the same build year). It felt like the brakes were almost… pulsating? Have you checked the car's voltage lately? In my case, it turned out to be undervoltage messing with the ABS system. Brakes are hydraulic brakes, but need a steady voltage.
