Vectra check engine light air valve hose

I've got a 2006 Vauxhall Vectra, gasoline engine, with the check engine light on at 103209 km. Could a bad air valve hose connection from the pump to the valve be the cause?

I had a similar issue with my 2012 Skoda Octavia. The check engine light was always on. Did you see any changes in manifold pressure readings? I'm thinking it might be an air supply problem.

I haven't looked at the manifold pressure specifically. But could an air valve issue also make the engine stall, or am I off?

An air valve problem could definitely cause stalling. With those symptoms and the check engine light, I'd suggest getting it checked by a good workshop. They can diagnose it properly. That's probably the best thing to do.

Thanks for the advice. I took the Vectra to a workshop, and you were right, the hose connection from the pump to the valve was faulty. Cost 175€ to fix. Thanks again for the help.
