Vectra Clutch Switch Issues

Sounds like the classic Vectra clutch switch gremlin! I had similar issues with my Vectra. Error codes galore, cruise control packed in, and the gear indicator was having a party of its own. Have you checked the switch itself for continuity? A multimeter might be your best friend here. Also, double-check the earth connections nearby – bad earths can cause all sorts of electrical mayhem.

You reckon it's worth just swapping out the switch entirely, or should I be digging deeper into the wiring loom before I splash the cash? Yeah, the symptoms are almost identical to what I experienced. I was scratching my head for days! Before you start hacking at the wiring loom, I'd advise getting a new switch. It's a relatively cheap part, and often the culprit. I got one from a local supplier and it fixed it. But, if the wiring is damaged, replacing the switch won't help. If you aren't familiar with electrical work, I would go to the workshop.

Top advice! Ordered a new clutch switch online, should be here tomorrow. Fingers crossed it sorts out the starting issues and gets the cruise control back online.
