Thanks for the tip. Steering wheel connection, eh? Interesting. Was it a cable or a plug? Anything specific I should be looking for before I start ripping things apart?

Yep, steering wheel was the culprit. Honestly, I couldn't pinpoint the exact issue myself. I'm no mechanic! But the workshop found a defective plug connection. If you're not comfortable tracing wires, I'd recommend getting it checked. Could save you a lot of time and frustration. Sometimes it's better to let the pros handle the spaghetti wiring under the hood.

Appreciate the insight. Workshop it is, then. Seems like a cable or plug connection of the component defective, as you suggested. Got it fixed for 95€.

Sounds frustrating! Had a similar issue with my old Renault Megane. Turned out to be a dodgy connection in the steering wheel. Cruise control wouldn't work, and it threw an error code. Have you checked the speed sensor or throttle position? Sometimes a blown fuse can cause havoc too. It's like a tiny gremlin messing with your car's brain!
