Interesting! I hadn't considered the battery. It is getting on in years. Could a low battery really only affect the seat, with everything else working fine?

Yes, it can be that specific. The seat motors need a lot of power. I had the battery swapped by a workshop. They said it was heavily discharged, and that was the issue.

Thanks for the insight! I had the battery checked, and you were right. It was heavily discharged. The battery replacement, diagnostics, and VAT cost 290€, but it was worth it. The seat now works perfectly!

I own a Vectra too. I recall having similar seat issues. Check your battery. A weak battery can cause all sorts of weird electrical gremlins.
