Vectra Power Loss Rough Running

I have a 2003 Vauxhall Vectra, diesel engine, with 183654 km on the clock. Lately, the engine power has been reduced, it's running rough, and jerks when I accelerate. Also, there's a loud hissing sound when I put my foot down, and my fuel consumption is way up. I suspect it's the intake manifold flap control, any ideas?

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Vectra. Reduced power, rough running – the whole shebang. Is your engine light on? Could be the intake manifold. Feels like driving with a potato stuck in the exhaust, right?

Yeah, the engine light is on. So, it was definitely the intake manifold flap control for you? How did you figure it out?

Pretty sure. My mechanic ran a diagnostic check. It pointed straight to the intake manifold. Honestly, I'd suggest getting it checked professionally. It could be something else, but those symptoms are classic intake manifold issues. Ended up costing me 465€ to fix.

Thanks. I appreciate the advice. I'll take it to a workshop and get it checked out. Sounds like that's the most likely culprit. Cheers!
