Vectra rail pressure sensor issue

Hi, I'm having trouble with my 2008 Vauxhall Vectra, it's a gasoline engine. The check engine light comes on, and the engine sometimes stalls when idling. Also, I think the engine power is reduced. I took it to a mechanic, and he said something about the rail pressure sensor signal being faulty. Any ideas?

The problem is identified as a faulty rail pressure sensor signal. The suggested solution is to have the sensor checked and potentially replaced by a professional to avoid further complications, which ultimately resolved the issue.

I also own a Vectra, and I had similar symptoms. It turned out to be a defective pressure sensor. The ECU uses this sensor to monitor the fuel pressure in the rail. Have you checked the sensor itself?

No, I haven't checked the sensor myself. Where is it located, and is it easy to replace?

The sensor is typically located on the fuel rail. While replacement might seem straightforward, without proper diagnostic equipment, you might run into further issues. I recommend visiting a workshop to avoid damaging other components.

Thanks for the advice! I'll take it to a workshop. Turns out the pressure sensor was indeed defective. Cost me 240€ to get it fixed.
