Vectra rail pressure sensor issue
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Vauxhall Vectra with a gasoline engine is experiencing issues with the check engine light, stalling when idling, and reduced engine power. The problem is identified as a faulty rail pressure sensor signal. The suggested solution is to have the sensor checked and potentially replaced by a professional to avoid further complications, which ultimately resolved the issue.

No, I haven't checked the sensor myself. Where is it located, and is it easy to replace?

The sensor is typically located on the fuel rail. While replacement might seem straightforward, without proper diagnostic equipment, you might run into further issues. I recommend visiting a workshop to avoid damaging other components.

Thanks for the advice! I'll take it to a workshop. Turns out the pressure sensor was indeed defective. Cost me 240€ to get it fixed.

I also own a Vectra, and I had similar symptoms. It turned out to be a defective pressure sensor. The ECU uses this sensor to monitor the fuel pressure in the rail. Have you checked the sensor itself?
