Vectra Rear Sun Blind Failure
Summary of the thread
The rear sun blind on a 2007 Vauxhall Vectra has stopped working, with an error logged, suggesting a motor failure. The issue is characterized by the absence of noise when attempting to operate the blind, indicating a likely motor problem. Checking the fuse was advised, but since it was intact and the error persists, the solution involves replacing the motor, which will require professional repair.

It's silent when I try to use it. Which fuse is for the sun blind?

Silence isn't good for a motor. Check your owner's manual for the fuse location – diagrams differ, even within the same year! Look for 'rear sunshade,' 'auxiliary power,' or 'convenience features.' It's probably a 10 or 15 amp. But if there's an error code and the motor's silent, you're likely looking at a new motor. It will need to go to the workshop.

I checked the fuse, it's fine. I'm taking it to a workshop for repair. It's going to cost about 330€, including a new motor. Thanks for the help.

Those sun blinds can be a pain! I've seen this before. The motor is usually the problem, especially if it's been working hard in the sun. Does it make any noise when you try to use it? Clicking or whirring? Have you checked the fuses? It could be a fuse, but the error code suggests the motor is done. Worth a look before you start taking things apart!
