Vectra running lean

My 2000 Vauxhall Vectra diesel is running lean. I'm getting reduced engine power, the check engine light is on, rough running, and jerking when accelerating. Mileage is at 97639 km. Could a defective injection valve/injector be the culprit? I've checked spark plugs, and the oxygen sensor seems fine. Could it be the mass air flow sensor or an issue with the intake manifold?

I had similar symptoms on my Vectra. Check engine light, loss of power, the works. Did you notice any difference in fuel consumption?

Fuel consumption seems normal. Did you ever figure out what was causing your Vectra to run lean?

Turned out to be a faulty injector. Given your symptoms, I'd suggest getting it checked by a workshop. Could save you a lot of hassle in the long run.

Thanks for the insight. Took it to the workshop, and you were right, it was a defective injector. Cost me 515€ to fix. Runs like new now.
