Vectra transport mode after battery replacement
Summary of the thread
A 2007 Vauxhall Vectra diesel displayed 'transport mode' active, a general electrical fault, and non-functional navigation after a battery replacement. This issue is likely due to the car's computer defaulting to 'transport mode' following the battery change. The recommended solution is to visit a workshop for a diagnostic reset, which resolved the problem at no cost.

Thanks. I did just replace the battery. Could that have triggered 'transport mode'? If so, do I need a workshop to fix it?

Replacing the battery is likely it. The car's computer might have defaulted, hence 'transport mode'. There might be DIY fixes, but I'd recommend a workshop to properly configure the car. They'll need diagnostics to reset the system.

Thanks. I went to a workshop, and it needed a reset after the battery change. The repair was 0€, and it's now fixed.

Interesting. I had a similar problem with my Vauxhall Vectra some time ago. Did this start after, say, a battery change or a system reflash? The symptoms sound familiar; it could be the immobilizer.
