Vectra Warning Lights Audio Failure

My 2008 Vauxhall Vectra diesel is acting up. At 154510 km, I'm getting random warning lights, 'Service Required' messages, and the audio system cuts out. The OBD-II scanner shows a vague system failure error. Anyone else had this happen?

Sounds familiar! I've got a Vectra too. Had similar gremlins – sporadic errors, radio dying. Did you ever suspect a BUS system error?

A BUS system error? That's new to me. What went wrong in your case? What were the symptoms and what did you do?

Basically, the control unit's cable connection was dodgy, affecting the whole BUS system. Resulted in temporary shutdowns and unresponsive stuff. Get it to a workshop. If it's like mine, it will cost about 155€.

Booked it in for a check. Mechanic confirmed it – the cable connection on the control unit was indeed faulty. That sorted the lights and the radio. Cost me about 150€. Thanks for the help!
