The error code refers to a general malfunction, not specifics. The sensors are clean. Could a faulty control module be the cause?

A general malfunction makes it difficult. While it could be the control module, those are robust. Given the car's age, a cable or plug connection is still likely. Without diagnostics, you're guessing. Let a workshop check, especially if they estimate around 95€. They will know what to check and will likely solve the issue faster.

I'll take it to a technician. The cost is worth it compared to potential damage from DIY. It turned out to be exactly what was initially diagnosed. The whole thing cost me 95€.

The dreaded parking sensor silence! When you say 'error memory,' is it a generic warning or a specific code from a diagnostic tool? Knowing the code helps. Also, have you wiped the sensors? Mud or grime can interfere.
