Thanks for the quick reply! I'll definitely check the gas cap and purge valve hoses. But if the hoses were indeed clogged, would that reliably explain both the check engine light and the stalling at idle, or am I barking up the wrong tree?

In my case, it was a combination of a slightly loose gas cap and a partially blocked hose to the purge valve that was causing similar problems. The ECU is super sensitive to changes in the fuel tank pressure. I spent hours researching emission system diagrams before taking it to a workshop, which promptly identified the issue. Probably best to leave it to the pros.

You were spot on! The workshop confirmed it was indeed a ventilation issue, with clogged hoses as you suspected. Repair cost was 175€. Runs like new now. Thanks a million for the advice!

I had similar symptoms with my Veloster. Have you checked the gas cap? A loose or faulty gas cap can trigger the check engine light and affect the EVAP system. Also, give the purge valve a look. Is it possible the hoses connected to it are cracked or disconnected? It's worth a quick inspection before diving deeper.
