Veloster engine stalls at idle
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Hyundai Veloster experienced engine stalling at idle and a check engine light. The issue was suspected to be related to the fuel tank ventilation system, specifically a defective pressure sensor or activated charcoal filter. After taking the car to a workshop, the problem was confirmed to be the activated charcoal filter, which was replaced, resolving the stalling and check engine light issues.

I haven't really paid attention to fuel efficiency. Where exactly should I be looking for this pressure sensor? Is it something I can check myself, or do I need special tools?

The pressure sensor is usually near the fuel tank or the activated charcoal filter, part of the emission control system. Given the symptoms and year, a defective charcoal filter could be the root cause. It's a bit tricky to diagnose without proper equipment. I would suggest taking it to a workshop; they can run a proper leak detection test.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to the shop, and you were right. It was the activated charcoal filter. They replaced it, and the total cost was 275€. The check engine light is off now, and the engine doesn't stall anymore.

Sounds like it could be related to your fuel tank ventilation system. The stalling at idle along with the check engine light are common symptoms. Have you noticed any change in fuel efficiency? I saw a similar issue once on a different car, and it turned out to be a defective pressure sensor. Worth investigating, but I am not sure where to start.
