VelSatis brake booster pressure sensor issue

I'm desperate! I have a 2008 Renault VelSatis with a gasoline engine and 97411 km on the clock. Recently, I've been getting an error message and the brakes feel really weak. The error memory says there's a problem with the brake booster pressure sensor. Could this be dangerous? I suspect the garage bled the brakes wrong last time!

I had a similar issue with my VelSatis. Same symptoms: warning light and poor braking. Was the braking performance consistently bad, or did it come and go?

Thanks for the quick response! It's mostly consistently bad, but sometimes it seems to be slightly better for a short while. Did yours behave the same way? Any ideas what could be the problem?

Yes, that sounds exactly like what I experienced. It's likely the pressure sensor, but incorrect bleeding of the system can definitely cause issues with it. To be safe, I'd recommend getting it checked out at a workshop.

Thanks a lot! I took it to the workshop, and you were right. They confirmed it was the brake booster pressure sensor. They replaced it, and it cost me 90€. Brakes are working perfectly again! Thank you for your help!
