VelSatis clutch pedal switch issue

Hi, I'm having a weird issue with my 2003 Renault VelSatis (gasoline engine). It's got about 74000 km on the clock. I keep getting an error stored in the memory, and the gear selection display in the speedometer is not working. Also, cruise control is dead, and sometimes the engine just won't start. I'm suspecting the clutch pedal switch, maybe a dodgy cable or plug. Anyone experienced anything similar?

Sounds familiar. I had something similar with my VelSatis. Have you checked the clutch switch itself? It's like a fuse in a circuit - if it's gone, things get wonky.

Thanks! Yeah, I suspected that the clutch switch is faulty. Where exactly is the clutch switch located? And is it easy to get to, or am I going to need some special tools?

It's usually near the clutch pedal, but honestly, chasing electrical gremlins can be a pain. I ended up taking mine to a workshop. Saved me a lot of headache.

Appreciate the advice. I think I will do the same. I got the car back. Turns out it was indeed the clutch pedal switch, and the cable connection was faulty. They charged me 95€, so all good. Thanks again!
