VelSatis cold start misfire
Summary of the thread
A 2002 Renault VelSatis with a gasoline engine experiences rough cold starts and misfires until it warms up. The initial suspicion is a faulty cold start injector. Cleaning the injectors is suggested as a first step, but ultimately, replacing the injector resolves the issue.

Cheers! Did cleaning the injectors sort it for you, or was it something more serious?

Unfortunately, cleaning didn't solve it for me. Eventually, I had to replace the injector. I would suggest getting it properly diagnosed at a workshop.

Right you are, it's booked in for a pro once-over. Cheers for the heads-up. Turns out it was indeed the injector! New one fitted and all good. Cost a bomb though, 515€!

I had similar cold start problems with my Vel Satis. Has the fuel system been checked? Maybe try injector cleaning first before jumping to conclusions.
