VelSatis Headlight Windshield Washer Failure

Afternoon. I've got a frustrating issue with my 2008 Renault VelSatis (gasoline engine). The headlight cleaning system seems to have stopped working, and weirdly, the windshield washer isn't working either. I've checked the fuses – all seem fine. I'm suspecting it might be a dodgy connection to the pump or perhaps a relay issue. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Hello. I have a VelSatis too, and that sounds awfully familiar. I had a similar problem a while back. Does the headlight cleaning system not work at all? Can you hear the pump when you activate it?

Thanks for the reply. No, there's absolutely no sound from the pump when I try to use either the headlight or windshield washers. That's what makes me think it might be electrical. Did yours do the same?

Yes, exactly the same symptoms. No noise at all. I'm no expert, but if you have checked all the fuses maybe it's best to get it to a workshop. They will be able to check if the pump gets any electricity.

Thanks for confirming. I appreciate the advice. I took it to the shop and you were spot on. Cable connection of the pump defective and they had to change a relay. Cost me 165€, but at least it's sorted.
