VelSatis key battery issue
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Renault VelSatis owner experienced issues with keyless access and intermittent locking/unlocking, accompanied by a low key battery warning. The likely cause was identified as a depleted battery in the key fob. After replacing the battery, the problem was resolved, restoring full functionality and eliminating the error message.

Thanks for the tip. I haven't replaced it yet. I wanted to check if there were any other possible causes before I potentially mess something up. Did the battery replacement solve the problem completely for you?

Yes, replacing the battery fixed it completely. However, if that doesn't work, it could be a fault in the key fob itself or a problem with the car's receiver. If the new battery doesn't solve it, a trip to a workshop might be unavoidable to diagnose it properly.

Replaced the battery in the key, and everything is working perfectly again. Keyless entry is back, and the error message is gone. Cost me 37€ for the battery and fitting. Thanks for the help!

I had a similar thing happen with my 2012 Opel Astra. The 'key battery low' warning popped up, and the range of the remote went down drastically. Have you tried replacing the battery in the key fob yet? It's usually a CR2032.
