VelSatis Rear Ventilation Fault

My 2004 Renault VelSatis diesel has a rear ventilation flap fault. The error memory has an error message, the climate control seems possessed, and the AC doesn't cool. Could it be a cable or plug issue? I'm not an engineer, and I'm worried about the repair cost. Has anyone else had this?

I own a VelSatis and had similar air distribution issues. Is the air blowing cold up front but warm in the back? My error memory also showed a fault with the rear ventilation. It felt like two separate climate zones. Have you checked the fuses?
