VelSatis Undervoltage Issue
Summary of the thread
The conversation centers around a 2007 Renault VelSatis experiencing undervoltage issues, leading to poor starting, system failures, flickering headlights, and a weak battery. The initial suspicion was a bad battery or parasitic draw. A suggestion was made to check and clean the battery terminal connections for corrosion. Ultimately, the problem was resolved by replacing the faulty battery, as confirmed by a workshop.

Thanks. I'll check the terminals. Was your issue also undervoltage and system failures? Did cleaning the terminals fix it completely?

Cleaning the terminals helped for a bit, but the problem kept coming back. Turned out the battery was just plain shot. Needed a new one. I'd say get it checked at a workshop.

Thanks for the advice. I went to a workshop, and they confirmed the battery was bad and needed replacement. Total cost was 290€.

I had something similar on my VelSatis. Check the battery terminal connections for corrosion. Clean them up good and make sure they're tight. Also, how old is the battery?
